THE Academic year started in Sierra Leone at a time the country is experiencing rapid increase in prices of commodities. Businesspeople continue to increase prices of goods in the country, given the fact the price of dollars continues to go high. The increase in the prices of goods in the country did not start with the spread of COVID-19. The Pandemic only worsened the condition.
This condition has affected many children finding it difficult to continue schooling. ORMS-SL was able to make a 30% increase per child in its education support to vulnerable children. Our initial target was to help 27 school children but the vulnerability of education lead to an increase of this number to 40 children.
